This Privacy Policy describes how Shannon Alliance (“Shannon Alliance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use https://www.shannonalliance.com (the “Site”).

It covers the public website, the contact form, and the staff content-management tools at /admin. It does not replace a business associate agreement or data-processing addendum that we sign for a client engagement.

1. Who we are

Shannon Alliance is an AI and data operations consulting practice with offices in Seattle, Washington and Phoenix, Arizona.

2. Information we collect

Information you send us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, work email, and message you provide, plus any other details you include. The public form opens your email client and sends the message to info@shannonalliance.com. We use that information to respond to your inquiry and, if you ask, to discuss a consulting engagement.

If you book a consultation, we receive your name, email, the time you chose, and any note you add. We create a Google Calendar event and email you the invite. We use that information to hold the meeting.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting provider may record standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and debug the Site.

Theme preference

The Site can remember light or dark mode in your browser’s local storage. That preference stays on your device and is not sent to us as an account profile.

Staff CMS access

Authorized Shannon Alliance staff can sign in to /admin with Google. We receive the Google account email used to authenticate, and we store a session cookie on that browser so the editor stays signed in. CMS access is limited to people in our organization. Visitors to the public Site are not asked to create an account.

3. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to run the Site:

  • CMS session cookies on /admin after a staff Google sign-in, so the editor can stay authenticated
  • Short-lived OAuth cookies during Google sign-in for staff

We do not currently run a third-party advertising pixel or a Google Analytics measurement ID on the public Site. If that changes, we will update this policy.

You can block cookies in your browser. Blocking CMS cookies will sign staff out of /admin; it does not stop you from reading public pages.

4. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to consulting inquiries and schedule conversations
  • Operate, protect, and improve the Site
  • Authenticate staff who edit pages and articles
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information.

5. How we share information

We share information only when needed:

  • Service providers that host the Site, email, or (for staff) Google sign-in
  • Professional advisors such as lawyers or accountants, when required
  • Authorities, if we are legally required to disclose information
  • A buyer, if we transfer assets in a merger or similar transaction, with notice where required

Client project data is handled under the contract for that engagement, not under this website policy alone.

6. Retention

Inquiry emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and our record-keeping. Server logs are kept for a short operational period unless we need them longer for security or legal reasons. Staff session cookies expire according to the CMS session lifetime.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No website or email channel is completely secure. Do not send passwords, authentication secrets, or highly sensitive regulated datasets through the public contact form.

8. Children

The Site is for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not offer accounts to anyone under 18.

9. Your choices

You may email info@shannonalliance.com to ask what information we have from a Site inquiry, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to legal retention needs. You can also opt out of follow-up marketing emails by telling us; transactional replies about an active inquiry may still be necessary.

Depending on where you live (including California), you may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights. Submit requests to the email above. We may need to verify that the request matches the email address we already have.

10. International visitors

We process information in the United States. If you contact us from another country, you understand that your information will be handled in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ.

11. Third-party sites

Articles may link to papers, vendors, or other sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

12. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page and changing the “Last updated” date.
